i find it weird.

most muslims are from a culture totally different than ours, ..and i try to make sense of it all but no joy on that.

i would consider myself "christian" yet it doesn't really bother me when i see cartoons or anything light of jesus..simply because i believe in free will. what bothers me is why we "westerners" don't react the same way when someone makes fun of jesus....is it because i'm not devoted enough?...or simply don't care?...does it mean that muslims are more devoted and more serious than me?..that's why they became so offended?

No man, we used to get really offended and burn them at the stake! But that was some centuries ago! We overcame that. Some of us anyway.. there are many in the West to whom it's still a blasfemy (even though they wouldnt burn embassies).

I have Zero tolerance to all of them! From the West or from the East.
Faith is a personal thing. I believe in what I believe now leave me alone. All this showing that Jesus loves me or that Mahomed is whatever really pisses me off. And when its done in such extremism, provoques me worse in me. They can all fuck off.

Just a cartoon? The fact that so many people got outraged says something else.. It cannot be "just" a cartoon. It's ambiguous. It derives its meaning from the one who beholds it. If anything, it is just what any given individual sees in it.

There should be freedom of press, ofcourse.
There is no excuse for what happened, agreed.
But just a cartoon? I don't think so.

What worries me is that some people want hate. They seize every opportunity they get and they take the unknowing with them. The masses that don't even know what they are fighting for/ against. If only people would try to understand eachothers point of view.. But some seem to be willingly blind. This goes for "the west" as much as for anyone.

to me it doesnt say anything else. it was still just a cartoon (or a few cartoons). and they werent even anything special. maybe they were outraged cause they were crap...
